Houston Mourns Passing of Owner

Kaden Spencer, owner of the Houston Rangers, has passed away. He succumbed to a longtime illness yesterday. The sad news was announced today at a press conference in Houston. His son, Kaden Spencer Jr., will take over the ownership of the team. He is said to be a lenient character with a fiscal personality of normal.

Chavez Bombs 3 HR Against San Francisco

Mexico City Marauders first baseman Francisco Chavez sensed he was going to have a good day at the plate, but he still might have underestimated it a little.
Prior to the start of today's contest with the San Francisco Pioneers, Chavez told teammates he was sure he would hit a home run. He did -- three times.
"During batting practice I really had my swing down pat," he recalled. "I felt some thunder in the lumber."
The big day from Chavez pushed the Marauders past the Pioneers, 9-6. To go along with the homers, he collected 5 RBIs and scored 4 runs.
"I was seeing good, feeling good and swinging good," Chavez told reporters after the game.
Francisco Chavez struck out in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Ramiro Torres in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Ramiro Torres in the 5th, walked in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Danny Ramirez in the 9th.
This season, Chavez is batting .280 with 14 home runs. He has scored 37 runs and driven in 43.
