Workmore Out of Playoff Race

Opinions were split on the Workmore Horned Frogs this season, with some figuring they were true World Series contenders and others thinking they would fade away. The latter group has been proven correct, as the club is now mathematically eliminated from postseason contention.
This is the 6th time in a row that the Horned Frogs have missed the playoffs.Their last payoff appearance was in 2041.

Edmonton Clinches Wild Card
Tuesday, July 30th , 2047
With a position in the playoffs as a wild card winner now secured, the Edmonton Riverhawks are looking to prove doubters wrong.
"People are going to say we're not good enough, or that we can't win a World Series, but we know that's not true," said starting pitcher Nelson Villanueva. "The guys are celebrating this tonight and then it's back to business and back to focusing on winning a championship."
A World Series win would be the team's 2nd in franchise history.

Wild Card Clinched by Raleigh
Tuesday, July 30th , 2047
The Raleigh Spurs will be seeking a 1st World Series victory as a wild card team this season.
The Sub League 2 East Division club has secured a postseason berth and catcher Ben Lombardi said "it would be a long night" as the team planned to celebrate.
"We'll get back to business tomorrow, but for now it's time to relax and enjoy," he said.
