67's Weber Out Rest Of Season Sunday, May 16th , 2055 The doctors have spoken and Dan Weber of the Ottawa 67's didn't like what he heard. The 35-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Weber sustained his season-ending injury during the Wildwood Jets game yesterday at Jets Field. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Ottawa medical staff reported Weber had a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament and would be absent from the lineup for at least 9-10 months. Weber has taken the mound for 13 relief appearances this season, nailing down no saves while notching a 0-2 record with a 5.40 ERA. The Ottawa reliever has limited opposing batters to a .188 batting average. |
