FCOL News: Playoffs begin

"Baseball is a marathon," or so the saying goes. But once the FBL College playoffs start today, it's a sprint to the finish. One false move, one errant miscue, one pressure-packed flub will end your team's chances of winning the title. It could be over in a moment. On the other hand, one swing of the bat or a fastball blown by the last hitter could just as easily send your team parading down Main Street, hoisting a 24-carat gold-studded Round 3 trophy before an adoring crowd. The contending ballclubs are all poised and ready -- the playoffs begin today with several Round 1 showdowns:
Carrefour College Sabercats vs Cleveland College Gems, Panama College Flyers vs Camagüey College Bluebirds, Delmas College Tasmanian Devils vs Guatemala College Spurs and San Miguelito College Thunder Cats vs Detroit College Sailors.

Breaking FCOL News: Regular Season ends

FBL College has put the wraps on another season. In a few days the playoffs will launch in grand style with the league's elite clubs going up against one another for the ultimate payoff -- the Round 3 crown. For the baseball fan it doesn't get any better than this -- a time of tense duels, where the outcome of the season hinges on one pitch, one play, one hit -- or one break. There is nothing quite like the playoffs.

Spurs Clinch Spot in the Postseason

The champion of the Conference 2 South Division remains to be crowned, but one thing is now known for sure after today's games - the Guatemala College Spurs are going to the postseason.
The club's 33-13 record is good enough to guarantee them a spot in the playoffs and they will now look to officially capture the division title.
"That's our main goal," said shortstop Tony Lopez.
