Peregrines Heading to Round 2

Billy Bisesi sparked his Edmonton HS Peregrines past the pesky Havana HS Patriots in a closely-contested Round 1.
Edmonton HS topped Havana HS 14-2 at Peregrines Park to decide the series, 4-2
For his efforts, Bisesi was rewarded with the series MVP trophy for his .429 batting average, 6 RBIs and 10 runs scored.
"You never want to leave anything on the field," Bisesi said. "You never want to miss a play of defense you could have made, or give up an extra base you could have gotten, because in a series this tight you never know what you'll need to win."
The Edmonton HS Peregrines will play against the Indianapolis HS Reds in the next round. Indianapolis HS won their series against the Calgary HS Swarm 4 games to 0. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.

Round 1 Goes the Distance, Aguascalientes HS Prevails

FBL High School 1 fans were certainly not disappointed with this Conference 1 Round 1.
The two teams were evenly matched and the series went to the final game, with the Aguascalientes HS Attack prevailing over the Columbus HS A's to advance to the Round 2.
Aguascalientes HS won the final game by a score of 10-4 at Attack Stadium and that sealed the series 4-3.
"Things were tense in our clubhouse and dugout before and during this game, but we can let loose a bit now -- the hard work is over, for now," said center fielder Jose Rodriguez, who earned MVP honors.
For the series, Rodriguez hit .519 with a .515 on-base percentage. He had 3 home runs, 13 RBI and scored 7 runs.
The Aguascalientes HS Attack will play against the Zapopan HS Huskies in the next round. Zapopan HS won their series against the Guadalajara HS Grand Slam 4 games to 0. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.
