Romero Put in Cooler, Hitless Against Cheyenne Monday, May 17th , 2055 The Honkers stopped Manny Romero's 20-game hitting streak at Keo Stadium, but they couldn't stop the Keo Thunderbolts, falling by the score of 8-7. Romero didn't get a hit for the first time in weeks, finishing 0-for-3. "It's just as well," Thunderbolts manager said. "We couldn't spend the whole season going out of our way not to jinx him." So far this season, Romero has hit .380 with 5 home runs, 20 RBIs and scored 18 times. |
