SL1 Star of the Week Chosen Monday, May 3rd , 2055 Not every ball that came off Alex Rubio's bat last week was a line drive or a towering shot -- it just seemed that way to the teams that played the Surrey Kernels. For his exploits, Rubio was named this week's Sub League 1 Player of the Week award. The Surrey first baseman put up 11 hits in 28 at-bats and 8 home runs while hitting .393 with 12 RBIs and 8 runs scored. Currently Rubio has 10 home runs and a .342 batting average. |
