Sultan of Swing: Henderson Goes Deep 3 Times Friday, April 30th , 2055 The "hardest feat in sports" debate is a never-ending one with no correct answer, but hitting three home runs is certainly in the conversation. That's exactly what Matt Henderson did at Brawlers Fields, going deep three times and carrying his team to victory, 14-2. "It all came together. I was seeing the ball well and I got some good pitches to hit," Henderson said. "Good things happen, when that happens." The Wyckoff Brawlers catcher blistered the San Carlos Black Gold for 5 hits, batted in 5 runs and scored 3 times. "It ain't like we weren't trying," San Carlos manager said. "He was hot and really torched my boys today." Matt Henderson hit a two-run home run off Willie Ceja in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Willie Ceja in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th and hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 7th. In the current season, Henderson has put up a .373 batting average with 22 hits, 6 home runs, 13 RBI and scored 13 runs. |
