This Week's Star Player is Winters Monday, May 17th , 2055 Portland fans have something to crow about today as Portland second baseman David Winters nabbed the Sub League 2 Player of the Week Award for his performance over the last seven days. "I know there are times when it's hard to lay off pitches. Everyone goes through stretches when he's too eager to put the ball in play. You know, though, I feel like this past week I was able to get in the right frame of mind and just let things come naturally," said Winters. He posted a .588 average (10-for-17) this past week with 3 home runs, 9 RBIs, and 5 runs scored. In the 2055 season Winters is hitting .303 with 5 home runs. |
