Hit Streak for Sanders Reaches 20 Sunday, June 2nd , 2052 Randy Sanders continued his streak at Rush Ballpark, even as the ballgame did not go his way. The Minneapolis left fielder was 3-for-5 in today's contest and now has hit safely in his last 20 games. The Spirit were not as fortunate, losing, 8-6, to the Halifax Rush. "Sanders was hitting everything we threw at him," said Halifax manager . "He is a tough out. Fortunately, things went our way in the ballgame and we came away with a win." Randy Sanders flied out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Colin Moore in the 4th, singled in the 5th, flied out in the 7th and singled in the 9th. This year, Sanders is hitting .382 with 10 home runs and 38 RBIs to his credit. He has gotten on base at a .431 clip and scored 30 runs. |
