Borowski Smacks 5 Hits for Limones Monday, April 18th , 2050 After his 5-hit effort at Keyesport Landing Grounds was tarnished by La Romana's 17-9 loss to the New Haven Patriots, catcher Rich Borowski told BNN beat writers it was "a missed opportunity for a special day." "It really doesn't matter whether it's sandlot ball, high school or college, two hits in a game is nice," he said. "I would have been happy to stop there if it meant we got a win." He didn't get the win, but the 28-year-old had a spectacular 5-for-5 game against the Patriots. "His swing is getting there," said Limones skipper after the game. "We want him to be quick with his swing, short and compact. We want him to be patient and go the other way when he can. Rich did that to perfection and we wasted it." Rich Borowski hit an RBI double in the 1st, singled in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Jose Valencia in the 9th. Borowski is currently batting .423 with 2 home runs, 6 runs scored and 5 RBIs. His OBP is .423. |
