Hernandez Makes it Official, Will Retire Thursday, April 28th , 2050 The Honolulu Makos will have to find a new first baseman next year as veteran Felix Hernandez is set to retire at the end of the 2050 campaign. Hernandez, age 36, is ready for retirement. "Time takes its toll on this old body. I can't do it as well as I want anymore. It's time to hang up the spikes and make way for a younger guy." In a career spanning 110 games, Hernandez has batted .196 with 70 hits, 7 home runs, 27 RBIs, and 26 runs scored. |
