Melrose Goes 6-for-6 Against Cleveland College Saturday, April 16th , 2050 There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 6 hits in a day. Kevin Melrose is one of those rare few, as he went 6-for-6 against the Cleveland College Gems at Gems Grounds. The monster effort from the 20-year-old second baseman helped the Milwaukee College Diamond Dawgs get the win, 13-7. "We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said Gems manager . "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today." Kevin Melrose singled in the 1st, hit a two-run double in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th. Melrose is hitting .331 for the season with 1 home run, 16 RBIs and 20 runs scored. He has 46 hits in 139 at-bats and played in 36 games. |
