Tovar Sizzles with 20-Game Batting Streak Saturday, April 16th , 2050 The Guatemala College Spurs may have proven to be mere mortals as they lost, 11-8, to the Hamilton College Clowns, but Jose Tovar continued to hit like a god. The third baseman collected 1 hit in 3 at-bats in the loss and extended his hitting streak to 20 games. "Tovar is playing great and is on fire right now," Spurs manager said. "Hopefully his play can spark the rest of our team and help us pick up some wins." Tovar was apparently not happy with the game and when pressed by reporters in the locker room only said "nothing else matters but the loss." Jose Tovar hit an RBI single in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, walked in the 5th and grounded out in the 7th. Tovar is currently batting .324 with 5 home runs and 29 RBIs. |
