Tovar Slams 3 Homers for Spurs Tuesday, April 26th , 2050 Every now and then, everything just comes together. Jose Tovar discovered that today at Guatemala College Stadium, as he smashed three home runs during the 14-6 Guatemala College Spurs win over the Puebla College Sluggers. "I got three balls to hit and nailed all three of them," the Guatemala College third baseman said in his postgame interview. "The first was a hanging curve, the second was right down the middle and the last one was a good pitch, but I guessed right and put the wood to it." Tovar finished the day with 3 hits in 4 at-bats and 6 RBIs. Jose Tovar flied out in the 2nd, hit a three-run home run off Omar Blegolat in the 3rd, walked in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Tony Garcia in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Alexis Salinas in the 8th. So far this year, Tovar has hit .339 with 11 home runs, 44 RBIs and 40 runs scored. |
