Avengers End Gorham Streak Tuesday, April 26th , 2050 The El Paso College Avengers pitching staff did its job, holding hot-hitting Ty Gorham hitless in 4 at-bats during the club's 5-1 victory over the Columbus College Alligators at Alligators Grounds. The disappointing performance ended a 23-game hitting streak for the left fielder. "I'm a little down right now," Gorham said after the game. "I couldn't get anything going when the team needed me, and I hated to see the streak end, too." Gorham's current batting average stands at .416 and he has chalked up 18 home runs and 60 RBIs. |
