Keys Chill Brown Hot Streak Saturday, April 23rd , 2050 It was the best of both worlds for the Laval College Keys at Blue Claws Grounds, as they defeated the Oklahoma City College Blue Claws, 8-6, and also snapped Peter Brown's 29-game hitting streak. The 20-year-old Oklahoma City College first baseman failed to get a hit in 2 at-bats. "Nothing personal against Brown, we just wanted to win the game," said Keys skipper . "We did a great job keeping him off-balance and guessing." When asked by reporters about his streak coming to an end, Brown frowned and said, "I won't lie and say that I'm not disappointed about it, but I'd feel much better if we had won." This season, Brown is batting at a .339 clip with 17 home runs and 40 RBIs. |
