Consecutive-Game Hit Streak Continues for Tovar Friday, April 22nd , 2050 Guatemala College third baseman Jose Tovar keeps on racking up hits every time he plays. His hitting streak now stands at 25 games after collecting 1 hit at Guatemala College Stadium. The Spurs earned the 6-5 victory over the Miami College Reds. "I have been seeing the ball really good the last few weeks, but I am a bit surprised how things are working out," Tovar said. "I've gotten a couple flares to drop in, so I've also been a little lucky." Jose Tovar flied out in the 1st, was hit by a pitch in the 3rd, walked in the 5th and hit a solo-shot off Mike Berman in the 7th. To date this year, Tovar is batting .331 with 7 home runs. |
