Super Swinger -- Robert Slams 5 Hits Wednesday, April 20th , 2050 It doesn't happen very often, but it did for Raymond Robert -- a 5-hit effort. He went on a rampage at Tasmanian Devils Park and paced the 14-9 Tasmanian Devils win over the Detroit College Sailors. After his dynamite batting performance, the Delmas College center fielder told reporters that he "just tried to get in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control." His philosophy paid dividends today. He slammed 5 hits in 6 tries and put his name in the record book. Raymond Robert doubled in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Joe Colby in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Kyle Guriis in the 6th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 8th. Robert is currently hitting at a .317 pace with 16 home runs and 55 RBIs. He has played in 41 games and scored 47 times. |
