Nino Hit Streak Soars to 20 Games Tuesday, April 19th , 2050 Tony Nino's hitting streak is becoming the talk of Guatemala College. The 20-year-old first baseman extended it once again, this time bringing it to 20 games with a 1-for-5 performance against the Guadalupe College Badlanders. The Spurs won the game, 8-3. "People are starting to bring it up to me when I'm around town," he said. "It's getting stressful." Tony Nino flied out in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, flied out in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Mario Boranegra in the 9th. To date, Nino has collected 65 hits for a .382 average. He has posted 17 home runs, scored 55 runs and driven in 43 runs. |
