Rae Has 20-Game Hitting Streak Friday, April 15th , 2050 The Mississauga HS Wingnuts fell to the Ottawa HS Scots in Scots Stadium, even as 16-year-old left fielder Tom Rae upped his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games. Rae finished with 2 hits in 3 at-bats, but could not stop the Wingnuts from dropping the 5-2 decision. "Yeah, I kept my streak going, but it would have been better to come away with a win," said Rae. Tom Rae hit an RBI double in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, singled in the 6th and struck out in the 8th. In 35 games this season, Rae has compiled a .322 batting average with 49 hits and 7 home runs. He has also scored 20 times and knocked in 26 runs. |
