Brian Hair Injured, Out for Year Sunday, April 10th , 2050 The doctors have spoken and Brian Hair of the Virginia Beach HS Speedsters didn't like what he heard. The 16-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Hair sustained his season-ending injury during the Memphis HS Black Dogs game yesterday at Speedsters Park. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Virginia Beach HS medical staff reported Hair had a torn flexor tendon in his elbow and would be absent from the lineup for at least 9-10 months. This year, Hair has compiled a 1-2 record with a 4.82 ERA. |
