Round 1 Goes the Distance, Aguascalientes HS Prevails Monday, April 25th , 2050 FBL High School 1 fans were certainly not disappointed with this Conference 1 Round 1. The two teams were evenly matched and the series went to the final game, with the Aguascalientes HS Attack prevailing over the Columbus HS A's to advance to the Round 2. Aguascalientes HS won the final game by a score of 10-4 at Attack Stadium and that sealed the series 4-3. "Things were tense in our clubhouse and dugout before and during this game, but we can let loose a bit now -- the hard work is over, for now," said center fielder Jose Rodriguez, who earned MVP honors. For the series, Rodriguez hit .519 with a .515 on-base percentage. He had 3 home runs, 13 RBI and scored 7 runs. The Aguascalientes HS Attack will play against the Zapopan HS Huskies in the next round. Zapopan HS won their series against the Guadalajara HS Grand Slam 4 games to 0. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes. |
