Consecutive-Game Hit Streak Continues for Rienzo Monday, April 11th , 2050 With 1 hit at Orange Park, Brian Rienzo added another game to his hitting streak -- the Orlando first baseman has now hit safely for 20 games in a row. But the hitting feat wasn't enough for the Orange, as they fell, 11-4, to the New York Empire. "Frankly, I don't care about hits," New York manager David Fields said later. "I'll let him get 4 hits in 4 at-bats if it means we get a win." Brian Rienzo grounded out in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, grounded out in the 6th and singled in the 8th. So far this year, Rienzo is batting .477 with 2 home runs. |
