Mammoths Celebrate Wild Card Win Tuesday, July 30th , 2047 For the Montreal Mammoths, it's not how you start, but how you finish. That's the mantra the team is following after today qualifying for the playoffs. "We may be going into the playoffs as a wild card team, but we plan to finish the playoffs as champions," said catcher Ruben Urias. "There's no shortage of confidence from guys in our clubhouse." With a record of 55-53, there will of course be teams with better track records in the postseason. But team manager David Fields said his club has "infinite optimism" that they can win the franchise's 1st Federal Baseball League championship. |
