5-Hit Game for Conrad Friday, June 7th , 2052 There are moments in a player's career that they will not soon forget. Matt Conrad of the Denver Queens had one such moment at Firebirds Ballpark, when he went 5 for 5 at the plate. His hitting heroics weren't enough to pull out the victory, however, and Denver succumbed to defeat, 8-5, to the Phoenix Firebirds. "This was quite a day for me individually, but a little disheartening at the same time," the 31-year-old first baseman told reporters in the postgame interview. "It would have been very special if we had won the game." Matt Conrad hit an RBI double in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Jeff Ender in the 7th and doubled in the 9th.
