Hit Streak Over, Rangers Stop Keats Sunday, April 24th , 2050 Louie Keats saw his 20-game hitting streak wither and die during the Dallas Jets win over Houston at Globe Life Field. The 24-year-old left fielder was held hitless in 4 at-bats by the Houston Rangers, but his teammates produced enough offense to win the game, 2-1. "Am I disappointed about the hit streak? Maybe, just a little bit," a seemingly upbeat Keats told reporters in the clubhouse. "But really, how could you be unhappy after you hit in 20 straight games? I'm just glad it lasted as long as it did. Life is good." Keats is swinging at a .373 pace on the year with 8 home runs, 26 RBIs and 20 runs scored. He has played in 21 games. |
