Marauders Spank Twisters, 11-1
The Mexico City Marauders soundly defeated the Oklahoma City Twisters, 11-1, at Marauders Field. Francisco Chavez, who is a two-time All-Star, let his bat do the talking. He went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He scored 3 times and drove in 4 for Mexico City. Jose Martinez, the winner, is now 6-1. He struck out 5 and walked 1 over 7 innings, while allowing no runs on 2 hits. The Marauders , at 33-11, have now won 9 straight.

The Marauders got an important contribution from shortstop Juan Hernandez, who in the bottom of the fourth hit a 1-1 fastball to right-center for a run-scoring triple. It was his 3rd triple of the season and put the Marauders ahead, 2-0.

Oklahoma City manager David Fields said "nothing went right"in the blowout loss.
