Big Day for Corcoran in 6-4 Hawks Win
|
The Chicago Hawks topped the Boston Kings, 6-4, with right fielder Alex Corcoran playing a big role. Corcoran was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Hawks in the win. Ken Kennedy, 1-0, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1.2 innings. The Hawks have an impressive 20-9 record.
Had Corcoran not come through in the bottom of the seventh, who knows how the game would've ended? But with two down, Corcoran hit a 2-run single. The Hawks took the lead, 6-4, and never looked back.
"I was just going up there trying to see good pitches, that was about it," said Corcoran.
