Makos Popped by Robbers, 7-4

The Toronto Robbers picked up a win at Mounties Park, topping the Miami Makos, 7-4. On the mound for Toronto was left-hander Orlando Garcia. He played a principal role in the triumph. Garcia, now 2-2, was the winner. In 6.2 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 5, walking 2, and allowing 1 run. Pat Greer earned the save for Toronto, his 6th of the year.
The Robbers got a big at-bat from shortstop Oscar Jimenez. For the game, Jimenez was 2-4 with a double and a walk, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the second, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run double. His 7th double of the season gave Toronto a 3-1 lead.
"I felt good. I felt like I was locating the ball well and I was able to keep them off-balance," said Garcia.
The Robbers improved to 14-10.
