6-Hit Game for Stanek Monday, July 22nd , 2047 Hudson Valley left fielder Brad Stanek had a big day at Typhoon Park against the Bowling Green Typhoon. The 20-year-old, who is not typically considered a big threat with the bat, went 6-for-7 and led to the 21-2 Hornets triumph over Bowling Green. "Hey, I'm as surprised as you guys are," Stanek said in his postgame comments, smiling as he scolded the press corps for underestimating him. "Maybe I'm not so bad at the plate after all." Brad Stanek singled in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, hit a two-run double in the 6th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
