Skeeters Win Division 1 Crown Sunday, April 24th , 2050 Equal parts jubilation and relief swept over the Mexico City College Skeeters clubhouse tonight. The team captured the Division 1 crown, by the slimmest of margins. "We're happy, excited, overjoyed, relieved, anxious - a lot of emotions going through our heads," said right fielder Jose Ocampo. "It's really hard to describe the wave of feelings you get going through a pennant race like this." The Skeeters can now put the pennant push behind them and focus on the postseason, where the club will enter the bid for the Round 2 with a 27-23 record. It is the 5th time the Skeeters have won the division in their team history and they are seeking a 3rd FBL Junior College championship. |
