Tabor Pounds 3 HR Against Triplets Monday, April 18th , 2050 Fans seated in the bleacher section at Silverbacks Field were taking cover all day long as Bob Tabor zeroed in on them, rattling three long blasts off the seats in a display of Herculean power. The big game from the Los Angeles College third baseman helped the Silverbacks take the victory, 17-12, over the Hermosillo College Triplets. "I told myself not to press on the last one," he told reporters in the postgame press conference. "I knew I couldn't force it -- it has to be a nice easy swing." For the game, he collected 3 hits in 5 at-bats, drove in 6 and scored 4 runs. Bob Tabor hit a two-run home run off Carlos Enriquez in the 1st, walked in the 2nd, grounded out in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Juan Rodriguez in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Brett McCrossen in the 8th. To date this year, Tabor is batting .346 with 13 home runs. |
