Hitting Streak Still Alive for Smith Friday, April 15th , 2050 Win or lose, Lenny Smith just keeps on getting base hits -- game after game after game. He picked up 2 more today and has now stretched his hitting streak to 25 games. The Kingston HS Trail Blazers left fielder went 2-for-4, but it wasn't enough to win the game. His club was defeated, 15-7, by the Chimalhuacan HS Airhogs at Chimalhuacan HS Fields. "It's amazing to watch him hit right now, but I don't think anybody's really mentioning it," one of his teammates said. "We just don't want to jinx him." Lenny Smith grounded out in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, tripled in the 5th, walked in the 6th and flied out in the 8th. Smith is currently batting .365 with 17 home runs and 48 RBIs. |
