Cruz Ups Hit Streak to 20 Consecutive Games Sunday, April 10th , 2050 Matamoros HS right fielder Tony Cruz keeps on racking up hits every time he plays. His hitting streak now stands at 20 games after collecting 1 hit at Victory Park. The Foresters earned the 8-6 victory over the Kansas City HS Victory. "I have been seeing the ball really good the last few weeks, but I am a bit surprised how things are working out," Cruz said. "I've gotten a couple flares to drop in, so I've also been a little lucky." Tony Cruz grounded out in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, singled in the 7th and grounded out in the 9th. This season in 34 games, Cruz is batting .329 with 10 home runs, 27 RBIs and has scored 31 times. |
