20-Game Hitting Streak for Smith Saturday, April 9th , 2050 Lenny Smith of the Kingston HS Trail Blazers tagged 1 hit in today's 16-12 loss to the Puebla HS Peacocks at Puebla HS Stadium to run his hitting streak to 20 straight games. "I realize it's unlikely to have a 20-game streak and not have a couple losses mixed in," he said later. "But it still takes the fun out of it." Lenny Smith hit a solo-shot off Alex Pineda in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, grounded out in the 5th, grounded out in the 6th and grounded out in the 9th. To date Smith has chalked up a .370 average with 17 home runs, driven in 47 runs and scored 42 times. |
