River Kings Cruise to Round 3 with Sweep Friday, April 29th , 2050 The San Juan HS River Kings have swept the Guatemala HS Atlantics and are on to the Round 3. San Juan HS won 9-6 today at River Kings Park to clinch the Round 2. "We're happy to have put the dagger in when we had the chance," said San Juan HS shortstop Jose Diaz, who was named MVP for the series. "It could have been a tough series to finish if we let them start winning." Diaz won the award with a .562 batting average and a .611 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 6 RBI and scored 5 runs. The San Juan HS River Kings don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Indianapolis HS Shamrocks - Toledo HS Zips series. That series is tied at 2 games apiece. The Round 3 schedule will be announced after the Round 2 finishes. |
