River Kings Advance to Round 2 Saturday, April 23rd , 2050 The San Juan HS River Kings said they felt the Round 1 with the Charlotte HS Thunder Cats would go the distance. But it didn't end up being that difficult, as San Juan HS advanced to the Round 2 with a 7-6 score, to clinch the series 4-1 at Thunder Cats Ballpark. "Whether it goes to the final game or not, we faced a good team and got the job done. It's a big momentum boost for us," said Raul Guadalupe, who was named series MVP. "We're all feeling good about our chances to win the Round 3." For the series, Guadalupe hit .292 with a .346 on-base percentage. He had 4 home runs, drove in 7 RBI and scored 5 runs. The San Juan HS River Kings don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Chimalhuacan HS Airhogs - Guatemala HS Atlantics series. Guatemala HS leads the series 3 games to 1. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes. |
