Zips Move on to Round 2 Friday, April 22nd , 2050 The Toledo HS Zips will continue the trek towards a Round 3 title, while the Ixtapaluca HS Irish are headed home for the season. Toledo HS won the Round 1 with a clinching game 15-6 victory at Ixtapaluca HS Stadium, concluding the series at 4-1. "We didn't want this thing to go any further, that's for sure," Elliott Craddock said after officially being named series MVP. He turned in a dominant offensive performance to win the award, with a .542 batting average, .577 on-base percentage, 6 home runs, 11 RBI and 10 runs scored. The Toledo HS Zips will play against the Indianapolis HS Shamrocks in the next round. Indianapolis HS won their series against the Wichita HS Diamondbacks 4 games to 0. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes. |
