Juan Munoz Bashes Three over the Wall Thursday, April 21st , 2050 Fans seated in the bleacher section at Ixtapaluca HS Stadium were taking cover all day long as Juan Munoz zeroed in on them, rattling three long blasts off the seats in a display of Herculean power. The big game from the Ixtapaluca HS left fielder helped the Irish take the victory, 21-11, over the Toledo HS Zips. "I told myself not to press on the last one," he told reporters in the postgame press conference. "I knew I couldn't force it -- it has to be a nice easy swing." For the game, he collected 4 hits in 6 at-bats, drove in 7 and scored 5 runs. Juan Munoz grounded out in the 1st, hit a GRAND SLAM off Justin Dixon in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Bobby Ballard in the 4th, singled in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Scott Abraham in the 7th. So far this season, Munoz is batting .290 with 10 home runs. |
